Using JavaScript and Rails to create and render objects

ConU or Contribution University is an app for software developers that want to track their contributions to open source projects. I built the first version of this todo-style app with Ruby on Rails (RoR) with an SQLite database and have now added the use of JavaScript (JS) and an Active Model Serializer JSON Backend to create model objects and render an index and show page without a page refresh.
